Privacy
Tradcara keeps your tune book on your device.
Tradcara does not contain advertising, behavioural analytics or tracking, and it does not require an account.
What stays on your device
Your tunes, instruments, learning status, practice history, sets, settings, preferences and imported files are stored locally. Tradcara does not receive this information unless you deliberately include musical content in a hosted sharing link.
Optional network actions
Most features work without our backend. If you choose to import a public tune book from The Session, Tradcara requests its public ABC notation from thesession.org. The Session receives the requested public member identifier and ordinary connection information such as your IP address.
When you choose to create a sharing link or QR code, Tradcara sends the selected Tune, Set or Set List content and its title to our Cloudflare-hosted service. It does not include your learning status, practice history, instrument assignments or unrelated tune-book content. Anyone with the unguessable link can retrieve that shared copy. Ordinary snapshots expire after 30 days. Managed Set List links expire 365 days after their last owner update and may retain up to ten versions. Shared files do not use our backend.
Camera
Tradcara uses the camera only when you choose to scan a QR code.
Backups and sharing
Backup and shared files are created only when you request them. You decide where they are saved or who receives them. They can contain the musical and practice information shown in the app, so treat them as personal files.
Feedback and support
If you choose to send feedback, Tradcara opens your email app with recent diagnostics that you can review and edit. Sending that email is always your choice. If you send the message, we may keep your email address, message and included diagnostics to respond and improve the app.
Crash diagnostics
Tradcara can automatically send limited technical information about crashes and selected application errors to Sentry's EU service so that we can find and fix problems. This is on by default and can be turned off at any time under You → Privacy & diagnostics.
A diagnostic report may include the error category and technical stack, whether it was fatal, the app version and build, source revision, platform and operating-system version, device family/model and whether the app was in the foreground. It does not include tune names or music, settings, notes, repertoire, learning or practice data, import or search text, backups, complete links, sharing or Session credentials, request contents, your email address, screenshots or a Tradcara user identifier.
Sentry is used for error reporting only. Tradcara does not enable behavioural analytics, session replay, tracing, profiling, screenshots or advertising through Sentry.
Service providers
The Tradcara website and hosted sharing service are provided through Cloudflare, which processes ordinary request information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. Tradcara records only bounded route, status and timing categories for operations; it does not place shared payloads, share identifiers, edit capabilities or IP addresses in its application logs. Sentry processes the limited crash diagnostics described above in its EU service with server-side data and IP-address scrubbing. The Session is an independent service with its own practices.
Your choices
You can delete local app data through the app or your device settings. For privacy or support questions, email support@tradcara.com.
Children
Tradcara is not directed to children under 13.
